| I've played both WoW and EQ2. I give them both bad marks.
WoW - can't hold my interest more than 3 months at a time. The content is too easy and the PvP too repetitive. Faction grinding in WoW is required and miserable. On the plus side, WoW is not resource intensive and makes a great laptop MMORPG since anything with a 9700 or better can run it. Short term addicting...like a sugar high.
EQ2 - over done. Sony went too far with the graphics requirements. When it first came out I found it unplayable at any decent looking level of graphics on any desktop or laptop I owned. It works better today, but its still a graphics hog (7800GTX or SLI imperative). The load times are horrendous. I hate the human looking non-human races. Not as addicting as EQ1 was.
D&D Online - Hate the character graphics. Goofy gameplay. Plays great on both my 6800go and x700.
Eve Online - Amazing graphics but zero twitch pvp...targetting computers take all the fun out of pvp. Time based skills means you can level up while not online, but it also means that anyone who started before you will always be better than you. Plays great on my 6800g0 and x700.
EQ1 - still my favorite. Graphics are dated, but it does play well on just about anything with a 9700 and up. The only game to hold my interest every night for years at a time.
