I have Omni magazines from 1980 to 1986. I love going through them every few years and comparing where we are to where they predicted we'd be. Two major flaws. First, no one saw the collapse of the Soviet Union. Odd, considering it was something Reagan said would happen. Second, the internet totally flew under the radar. They predicted a lot of things in the computer field that came to pass, but "online" universally involved using a phone modem to connect ono on one to a mainframe.
I also decided it's always a good time to predict a flying car. They've been predicting them for over 75 years, and just because it'll never happen shouldn't stop you from saying it will.
