StrafeRight BF2 TWL Team Recruiting For Season 7

The StrafeRight BF2 Team is now recruiting mature individuals for the 5v5 Infantry Only Season 7 on TWL.

Season start Date: October 15th (Pre-Season)

Match Day/Time: Monday evenings at 9:30pm Eastern Time

We are looking for skilled BF2 players who have the ability to work well as a team. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact me via PM or post here on the forum. We are looking for a team size of around 12 players.

Below are some of the requirements and guidelines for being a part of the team.

1) You must be reliable and dedicated to the team. I expect each member to post each week stating whether they will be available for the upcoming match. Obviously real life will sometimes get in the way and there will be exceptions, but the team must stay in close contact and communicate effectively.

2) Be aware of what the team is doing and be involved. Basically check the private forum often and always know when and where the matches are, the scheduled map, and who will be on the roster. Everyone should feel free to make suggestions, criticisms, and other contributions to the team.

3) Have a good attitude and have good sportsmanship. During matches, the only person(s) communicating via in game chat to the other team should be the captain(s). There are really good teams out there and you WILL lose matches and get Pwned. Arrogant individuals that cannot deal with loosing should not try out for the team.

4) Have excellent in game teamwork skills. For the 5v5 IO, playing all medics is the norm and sticking together and performing revives and cover fire is a must. Points are all the rage in Ranked pubs, but in competitive play capturing flags, getting clean frags (without them being revived), and wining the match is all that is important.

5) Obey in game orders received from the commander & squad leader when given as well as give intelligent orders for anyone aspiring to be one of the squad leaders or commander.

6) Know BF2. While for the most part, those who OWN in one fps can usually do well in any, we will not be accepting nubs that don’t understand the game mechanics… regardless of their skill. The game has been out too long for newbie’s to be playing competitively.

7) Read the official rules for the league and obey them. Never cheat/hack/exploit in any way at any time while on the team roster.

8) Install and Use Ventrilo

9) Be capable and willing to install custom maps needed for matches several days (not minutes) before the match. The league will probably require players to run a custom anti-cheat program during matches to ensure cleaner matches.

10) Learn to use standard weapons. There will be no unlocks in competitive play, so you should start using them as much as possible. Even when playing on regular BF2 pubs I don’t use unlocks just so I can improve. The AK101 and M16 are actually really good weapons if you know how to use them.

Like I said before, we are a laid back group that likes to have fun. The last season was a blast. There is not a single public server out there that can offer the level of cooperative team play that you can get out of competitive league play. Most of the players are mature and take the game seriously. The competition is like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

Basically if you want to be on the team, we'll set aside some time to play together in a squad on a regular BF2 pub. Kevlar, Dopefish, and myself will then decide if you have what it takes. For those of you that I currently squad with several days a week on DrunkenMasters or elsewhere, tryouts won't be necessary if you want in on the team. Same goes for those of you that have played regularly during the TGL match season.

If we accept you onto the team, you will receive a PM informing of your acceptance. It will describe steps to get setup for the league and allow you access to our private forum, vent channel, and BF2 Pro sever.

If you think you have what it takes to be a part of our team, let me know. We are looking forward to another great season.

Also, I should note that you may not use this code in your own applications. If you want to reduce a variable by 89, you'll have to find another way to do it.
