| uh oh i had a problem similar to this with my reciever that allows me to connect my xbox 360 wirless controller to my pc....i start the game all i heard was static sound so i unplugged it restarted my pc started the game up and no static sound....i plugged it back into the usb and boom static sound once again...i don't know if you have tried starting the game without the guitar but if you haven't i would try...
