| if its shutting off randomly it might be the heatsink... the mobo knows when components are running too hot and will shut the computer off before anything gets fried...
as for the cmos... do you have a clear cmos button or jumper? try clearing the cmos and disable the floppy drive in your bios.
my friend was having similar cmos problems and it actually turned otu to be his power supply (go figure?) so ill ask him more about it |
