It was actually a few chinese gold farming sites that got shutdown. The only reason that Blizzard is going after the creator of glider is because of all the people that play WoW. People complain too much and now Blizzard has to do something about it. Blizzard really doesn't care about the bot because when a bot is seen in game it gets banned permanently. Then the person who was running the bot goes out and buys the game again and adds another subscription and the pattern follows. Especially when you get someone who doesn't know what the hell they are doing when they try and run a bot and get screwed over royally.

Blizzard makes money from bots. Lots of it. Blizzard makes over $150 million per month. This lawsuit between the glider owner and Blizzard has gone on for a few years now. With that kind of money, Blizzard could either: 1) Buy the guy out. 2) Have him assassinated. 3) When the case easily. 4) Pay someone

Blizzard scams a lot of people for money and they get away with it. Like I have already stated, if it wasn't for all the World of Warcraft players complaining about the bots, then Blizzard wouldn't do anything about it.
