The problem with retailers is that when they DO stock computer parts, they try to rape you for 50% markup, so we go ahead and wait for eWiz or Newegg anyway. I'm not paying $190 for a 250gb hard drive at freaking OfficeMax when I can get it for $70 from newegg in 3 days.
As for cross-platform fighting, it's tough, because the mouse will always punk the joystick. But for non-FPS games, I think it's vital to the community to eventually get all of them talking, not just a few here and there.
