| just change your viewing settings to friends only. And if you can't do that, don't put down your address.
It's useful for a few things especially now that so many people use it, sure parties can be posted on facebook (if your looking for an easy way to get an underage party busted), but it works well for other events, sending messages to groups of people, etc.
