OK...

Open your mind here guys, I know it is difficult...

The FFC/Government is 100% correct here...

If I buy an expensive communications device AND I pay an inflated price for service for this device, then should I not be able to use it as I see fit???

The device (iPhone) itself is without question one of the most innovative communication devices to have hit the market and yet it is completed locked down by Apple and AT&T and why? They already sold the device and made the bucks and they have you locked in to a two year agreement.

In my mind this smacks of having your cake and eating it.

First of all this exclusivity deal has pissed me off for the longest, whilst Apple position themselves to bleed the cellular industry dry on the operator side they also continue to do so on the end user side with the App store and have the gall to tell me what I can and cannot have installed on MY device by controlling all the App vendors.

And let me remind you that Apple were nearly finished as a company before the arrival of the iPhone. This device has single handedly re-invented the company and inspired people to look at other Apple devices such as the Mac.

It's win win for apple and AT&T with the iPhone and its not right. As a consumer you should have the right to choose your device AND your network and there should be fairer competitive rules.

The Sprints and T-Mobile's of this world are suffering greatly and whilst I agree that its business, AT&T have been dismantled once before for operating the exact same tactics.

If you are going to screw me on arguably the most expensive contract in the industry, please don't again shaft me by restricting what I can do with my device after I bought it, because you and your buddies want to squeeze the last drop of juice out of this fruit!
