What's Your Favorite Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Weapon & Spec Loadout?

It would be good to get an idea of how some of you higher level folks are outfitting your characters in BC2 so that those of us behind in the ranks can start to decide which direction to take our playing time.

I'm currently playing mostly the Assault class with the following:

    • Aug rifle w/ 4x scope
    • Noob tube attachment (you love it Dopefish!)
    • M1911 pistol
    • Upgraded rifle handle for stability
    • Extra vehicle damage upgrade

This allows me to keep my squad supplied and know that I can at least be as well armed as any infantry I run across.

    Recon:
M24 Sniper, I have many snipers unlocked, but this is still my favorite. It's the most powerful of all of them, at least, of the ones I've unlocked. Also, it has a nice scope, an easy to understand and manage crosshair. I'm not exactly sold on those "fancy" crosshairs that some of the other sniper rifles have.

Pistol: 1911... obviously. Best pistol. 2-3 shots to kill anyone.

Mortar: More versatile than C4, as you can take out people/vehicles at a massive distance with it. This also aids the role of sniping... which is camping an area and taking out your foes at a distance. The C4 fails in this respect. The C4 is better for an up-close and personal Sniper, one who is running around with an ACOG (4x scope), or a shotty. As the Mortar is not as versatile close range.

    Specs:
    1. 12x zoom: (I find nothing bad about this-- I have no problem dealing with people up close because I can still snipe them. If I find that too difficult I'll use the 1911.

    2. Spot: Excellent because it highlights anyone you see with your scope on the map, making them visible on radar to your entire team. It's also nice because you get assist kills for those that kill the target. Heck, you can get an assist just for looking at people, without doing anything to them, just because you saw them.

    3. Any vehicle one will do. Depends on your squad, the vehicle, and the level. This has nothing to do with sniping at all.

    I'm lvl 10 or 11 ATM.

I plan on using Magnum rounds when I unlock them, though I have no idea what level that will be.

hope this helps you recon players.

this is a toughie, as i feel i haven't unlocked enough of each class to really settle on a fave.

for now, i tend to prefer the following:

    [Assault]
XM8 (it's like auto kills for me, probably because i haven't developed a feel for the AUG or the M416)
    M1911
    NOOB TOOB!
Fast Pants or Red Dot depending on mood
    Rifle Stabilizer
    Improved vehicle warheads
