Vice City "bouncy cars" on 5670

I'll start of by saying that yes, I DO own a legit copy of the game, so everything should be fine...

Anyway, when I get into a car and start accelerating it bounces up and down a lot in the back and even drags on the ground. I really messes up the whole game because it makes it very hard to drive... This does not happen on my desktop (same install cds) but does happen on my friend's new 5670. I'm using the new s-seven.net vid drivers with xp pro (w/SP1).

None of the game files have been changed in any way, this happens after a fresh install. Just wondering if any of you guys had the same problem and how you might have fixed it.

This happens to all cars? I know that the Oceanic car does something like that.

Yep. This is an abnormal bug that happens only on the laptop with cars (bikes aren't affected).

You sure it's not a hydraulic add-on that came with the dingleberrys and fuzzy dice?

I have the same model of laptop as you and my version is fine, I am using the stock drivers that came with my rig. I mean when I get a ****e car it'll bounce like all hell until I get it to a certain speed then it mellows out.

I guess it must be the new s-seven drivers that do it then... it always used to be ok for me too. I'd rather have that problem then lose those drivers tho.

They're just slightly modified drivers that fixed crashing/install issues for many people. They are the same as what you could get off the ATI site, but they were made to recognise laptop video cards.

I play games on my computer while travelling too. It definitely makes it very hard to drive when I simultaneously play computer games. our minivan doesn't bounce up and down or drag on the ground in the back though and I usually have someone else drive when I am playing, so I have a much smoother mobile gaming experience. I would say get your car checked out, consider a different driver for your car (let someone else drive while you are playing, someone who doesn't drive as crazy as you do), and if those ideas fail, then consider different drivers for your graphics card.
