subsidized iPhone would get some major market share, but it would ruin the cachet of the Apple product when Joe Blow with his mullet in his Ford F-350 has the same iPhone as the Apple guy in his Prius.

that's what you dont get coffee...those days are over bro. EVERYONE is buying apple shit now. I have client after client rocking the iPhone these days, and half of them probably didn't graduate high school...and they love their F150's

Well "everyone" is a bit of an over-exaggeration. Considering at least a few of us on the forums don't have a single Apple product (my Archos 604 is wtfpwn btw).

But one could argue that just makes everyone hippies now.

In all seriousness however, they need to make a device with a removable battery, and maybe this thing called a FM tuner. That would be cool. If you took the looks of a Apple product, and the brains of say a Archos 605 wifi or a Creative Zen you'd have epic win.

that's one of the main reasons I don't have an iPod (though I bought Jr. one). No FM radio built-in.

and the next time I see a macbook outside of a Starbucks will be the first time. But I'm sure that's because I'm out west, where society is so backwards and all that.

walk in any library, coffee shop, deli, cafe, ect out here on the east coast and you see Apples of all varieties. i cant speak for you pluralists

FM radio is dead...i'll re-send both of you that memo from 2003.
