Apple's 2008 WWDC Coverage

As some of you may know, today is the first day of the World Wide Developer's Conference for Apple. This multi-day event is kicked off on a Monday (today) by a keynote speech from Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

It is widely rumored that today will be the official announcement of the second generation of the iPhone. We are also expected to get official word on the opening of the Application Store that will allow iPhone and iTouch users the ability to purchase third party applications from developers.

actually, now that I recall. he has cancer. well, they caught it early, but he still had to go through some shit. maybe that's what it was that made him lose so much weight

dude was never porky to begin with. i thought the cancer thing was over last year, but might be something new, he never talks about it.

they're talking about a few hum-drum but free apps so far. that sega game looks pretty cool though.

they're pushing the iPhone platform thing pretty hard.

engadget coverage is quick, but the commenters are bitchy about announcements - I guess they don't realize it's a DEVELOPER'S conference, not just a product announcement.
