: 78 th | | | I'm most glad for the small time developers who are making hay with the App Store. Apple's rich enough. But this far and away proves the iPhone is more than a marketing ploy. It truly is a great device with large scale interest around the globe. |

: 78 th | | | just remember, the iPhone is on the 3G network so you won't be picking that up on your Verizon phone while the ATT phone will see it. Where do you live in VA?
And I agree, the text message situation is a total rim-job, but my guess is they do something about it. Lots of people are pissed and the last thing Apple likes to see is pissed off Apple customer (example: Rogers in Canada) |

| | There's an amazing article on text messages over at Slashdot: Slashdot | OMG Did U C What U R Paying 4 Texting?
Basically, they're ripping people off because they can. Text messages are popular and people pay. There's nothing else to it.

: 78 th | | | ya that's going to be EDGE out there. i've always gotten spotty service on I64 when I travel that route. its good near 29 but once you leave Charlottesville its hit or miss until you hit Richmond or (going west) I81. that's a tough spot man, but with the continued growth of the college and the town, that's sure to be an up and coming metro (which will eventually get a high speed network). |
