I agree with Denny. It actually sounds like something apple would do. Have a computer, that is not really that much different (except maybe case and a few other things) than their Mac Pros and market it as total gaming rigs and if the price point is high, add a copy of windows in. While apple considers themselves a hardware company and not a software company, I'm sure they would never give money to Microsoft like that.
Coffee, all anyone needs to do is put Windows on their Mac and they can game away. That's how I play TF2, otherwise I would have some Computer Engineers trying to figure out how to load AND play TF2 on a PIII 866 MHz desktop.
Apple in that article Denny supplied or something, talks about how they have actually changed their pricing strategies. Instead of simply having a high price because they are apple, they are starting it at a high price, and bringing the price down (probably after they see returns that cover their investment(s).
I'm interested to see what Apple has up their sleeves. I think the whole iPod/iTunes revolutionized the industry in that it exploded to all kinds of markets. I really like a UMPC and a tablet. Tablets, as far as I've seen, haven't been terribly successful. An Apple tablet that functions would be insanely awesome.
