Hey guys. My dad got my mom a 4mb Ipod nano 3th generation for christmas. He has just now wanted to start using it. So I installed the current version of itunes and quicktime. Started up itunes and it wanted to update, from 1.0 to 1.1 for the Ipod itself. It was a 56mb download and set it to install when it was done. Went for a shower came back and the Ipod was not responding and there was no message like "installation complete or installation failed etc". The Ipod does not show up in iTunes anymore neither "my computer". I tried some trouble shooting tips from apple like holding the play button and menu at the same time. Which was supposed to reset it but nothing. This was all they really had for help with this problem. Besides opening up "my computer" and clicking reformat(if the other step didn't work), problem is its not showing up. They said if it didn't work to contact your local apple store, problem is we don't have an apple store here. I don't want to have to send it in. Now obviously during the install of the update something went wrong. I would like to get it back to v1.0 or 1.1 and working, any ideas?
