That's a terrible list of why your system is slower.

Lots of Firefox extensions? Since when does Firefox have anything to do with the performance of the underlying system? Firefox may start up slower or run slower, sure, but that's not going to affect your system performance.

OS X is awesome... but the average person that uses them is definitely not. I think I'll write an article "17 reasons why Windows runs slower than it should." Starting with reason #1, "You have too many achievements in TF2."

so what is a good way to make your system run more efficient? If one program is running slow, wouldn't the other programs run slow?

Is there a way to check out what updates and such your computer has done from apple? I usually look at what installs and what not, but recently there was an update that just asked me to install... I forgot to look at the details.

Just wondering what I updated.

Yeah. Go to System Preferences » Software Update. Click on the tab that says “Installed Updates.”
