| | | MacBook Air compromised in 2 minutes for $10,000 Craig will still love his MacBook Air after he reads this article on how the MacBook Air compromised in 2 minutes for $10,000 Quote: |
We learned in February that this year's CanSecWest would still involve a Mac, but also a laptop running Vista and some flavor of Linux. That's exactly how it played out this week in Vancouver when security teams were presented with the three machines for the PWN2OWN contest. Unfortunately for Mac fanboys, the MacBook Air was the first to go down, thanks to security researcher Charlie Miller. Miller is now the proud owner of $10,000 in cold, hard cash.

: 43 rd | | | Something about an open source anti-virus just scares me. I'm going to stick with NOD32 until they get huge and bloated.
Pretty crazy the linux PC was never hacked. Although the method they used to hack the XP PC could have potentially been used on the Mac and Linux PCs.

| Unfortunately, there aren't many options I believe when it comes to Macs.
I am curious to how long it would take them if there was no internet involved.

| | | as long as operating systems are changed (new versions, updates, patches, new programs, new I/O) there will always be new exploits.. it won't go away.. and not linux, not mac, not windows will ever be totally free of this

| I find this interesting as before it was only PC's with security issues...
Dont get me wrong, with the way the Apples & the Operating Systems work it will be very easy to lock down and secure but, its still interesting...
