I picked up my iPhone 3G today. Thing is so amazing - one thing I can't figure out is how to remove applications after adding them though. I didn't own the previous iPhone, but the GPS works really well and is damn accurate. The 3G network is a pretty obvious upgrade.
hey Z,
just sync with iTunes. there will be a new tab on iTunes called 'Applications'. You remove them there.
The navigation is very easy. The whole mechanism is more straightforward than Installer.app. You just use the store to buy things and the updates are presented on a dedicated screen. At the beginning I looked for a place to uninstall applications but nothing was there. The answer is simple: just go into the iPhone home screen, hold an icon for a few seconds and the X to delete the application will appear, just like when you add a web page to the homescreen.
Nice - thanks to those videos I figured out how to delete apps haha. On a side note, my iPhone came with a nice pretty crack right next to the top left corner of the lcd screen. Make sure you watch out for any deformities before you pick one up. I'll try and get a pic of that when I get a chance.
Wheels! that's awesome man, congrats. We'll have to nerd it up when you get it, let me know what you think. Be sure to hit up Mac Rumors: Apple Mac Rumors and News You Care About (the iPhone forums) as their message boards are loaded with great tips, tricks and information about the iPhone.
