Neutered since the genius left and the spaz is running it?

Seriously I don't know, MS is being challenged in many ways and is in a regrouping mode. Probably will be for a while. They need lots of help in mobile, office software, and anti-piracy measures for their OS.

good, they need to be challenged. looks like they've finally responded. so glad we didn't just get another iPhone copy.

I also think winmo7 can jump to tablets pretty well, although I still wouldn't buy one myself without win7.

a redesigned win7 maybe. just plain old windows doesn't work. I bet it's in the works though.

you really can't deny that google came looking for apple's business interests though. the war by proxy with HTC is kind of lame though. wanna fight the G? then just do it Cupertino.

I find it funny over the whole Apple vs. Google. We had an Google Data Operations Manager come to Appalachian State on Wednesday and his laptop said Google on the back of the screen, however, it was a Mac operating system running. I find that kind of odd.

I was watching a technology podcast recently that spoke of this. They mentioned that, if you have IPs (Intelectual Property), and you don't defend them (no matter how silly), when a serious infringement comes about, and you want to invoke your IP, the company/person committing the infringement can basically say "you didn't go after this in the past, why now why us."

Plus, Apple and all companies spend enormous amounts of dough on IPs.

Well, this just happened with their usage of the lowercase "i." So, if you act now on stuff about the phones, this kind of stuff won't happen later. I think it's just a defensive move for the company, not really an aggressive move towards other companies (unless you look at it as going after others to protect themselves in the future).

Apple has been told that it no longer has a monopoly on the letter "i" when trademarking its products.

IP Australia says that (Apple Inc v Wholesale Central Pty Ltd [2010] ATMO 7 (21 January 2010)) Apple seems to have overlooked the fact that there were already a large number of products that have the "i" prefix.
