No browser is fully secure, you have to watch what you're doing and where you're going.

and no, not diarrhea fast, but maybe some mild post-burrito squirts fast.

I'm actually interested in visiting some sites I have issues with in different browsers, see what happens.

The dev branch of Chrome is faster than Safari still, but otherwise Safari is the fastest (when it comes to JavaScript).

So far, Safari has been good on Windows. I haven't tested it extensively, but I've gone to my normal sites and done the normal thing. I'd say it's as responsive as Chrome, maybe a touch more sometimes. Some direct compares didn't show much difference.

Coverflow recently visited is neat, but I'd mostly use it for bookmarks, not recents.

I haven't surfed around enough to get my stuff into Top Sites, but I think this would be the feature I would use the most - the 12 listed pages is about the number of sites I hit hard daily.

Although I'm still mainly a Firefox user for the plug-ins, right now I think I'd drop Chrome in favor of Safari for the visual top sites and bookmarks, since both are quick and light.

I'll have more opinions after using it for a few more days.

Obviously MS products like Silverlight don't work, so that keeps Firefox in 1st place.

    (Yes, chrome does Silverlight now)

Dope, I've submitted a few bugs to Apple (example: can't unhide Windows Taskbar with mouse if Safari is maximized: Vista64).

Is there any log of what I've submitted?

I'm not sure. I've never submitted any bugs to Apple before. If it were related to WebKit, I know there's a way to see the status of bug reports.

Vega: Even if you make a secure browser you still have to worry about insecure plug ins. see Adobe's current issues with Flash and Acrobat Reader. neither of which has been patched for the latest versions.

With each browser running gmail, single window, no tabs, logged in and stable (not processing email or anything), here's the results on mem:

Chrome isn't a surprise, but safari was hogging a lot more than I expected, and IE8 was lower than I thought it would be.
