| | | Heh, that's awesome. And it strikes at the very heart of the problem of what Apple has become. After the money has changed hands, they do all they can to tell you how to use their product and restrict it as much as possible. Oh sure, you can have fun, but only fun from the approved list.

| | | the record companies are the culprits. Microsoft and Apple both have tightly integrated hardware/DRM/music systems.
Zune was broken a long time ago, and I'm sure iTunes was, too, but this may be the first one that is openly marketed with attorneys behind it.

| | | it's all about the ease of it. Yes, it's easy to rip a CD, but a lot of people would rather buy it and download it (even wirelessly) and never have the physical media.
I like that both of the systems now allow DRM-free tracks, but they're both still tied to specific hardware devices.

| | | Maybe it's just me... I prefer the physical media as an archive. Even though I never listen to it in CD form, it's good to have a backup.

| | | Yes, I have a slew of iTunes purchased music that won't play on my computer because iTunes won't authorize it properly. It's freaking stupid, and I wish I never bought it. It won't sync to my iPod and I can't even play it on any other media player! I'm going to go download this now, and see if I can avoid using iTunes in the near future. |
