If ppl with an Iphone did download the app, would you be able to then use the push notification to them?

I'm guessing then the easiest way to do this is that ppl can go to the website, agree to put their mobile in, and then he can send it out that way using some program or whatever. Sort of like colleges do with emergency texts or whatever mass text technology you want to do.

I'll bring this back to him (them) and find out more though. Thanks for all the input though, seriously.

I would think so, but I've never looked at the API or read the SDK details on what Apple allows you to do with them.

If your lucky, you could get it done in less than 10hrs... Though that could jump to 40+ depending on many factors..

Your best bet actually would probably be to get someone from India on some type of `rent a coder` website... That way you can get someone to do it for seriously next to nothing. I know a guy that had an iPhone app written, 30hrs of development, and spent $120 USD... Much cheaper than spending $10-375+/hr for a high-end developer in the states...

    I'm being realistic..

Outsourcing leads to sub-standard code and possibly product... You spend $4k-$15k on development of a simple iPhone app and you will get a lot more for your cash. But there it is. Really good dev's are expensive.

The beta for this: Design & Publish your own mobile apps - appOmator.com was released recently. So far, it seems very easy to use at a glance. I watched a few tutorials, but haven't played around with it much.
