Depends on the type of ram you're look for. I just bought another gig of Kingston Ram (2x 512 mb) from newegg and it ran me 83.32 + shipping (about $90). It's PC 3200 (DDR400) so it's not the "top shelf" ram of the day but it matches the other stuff in my system
Find out what you're other ram is and try to match it as closely as possible. If you already have some crazy DDR2 800 ($120 for 2x512) ram in there don't go and buy the el cheapo DDR266 ($80 for 2x512). To the best of my knowledge your system will use the lowest common denominator. In other words, your expensive ram will be reduced to running at the speed of your cheap ram (someone correct me if I'm wrong). All that to save $40!!
Here is a link to the system memory area in newegg:

Up at the top of the link you can specify your search with the little dropdown menus. I couldn't exactly match my very first stick of ram but I came damn close (the timings are a little different on the new ram). Also, before you click "buy" make sure you read the reviews. All components are not created equal! Some companies are known to have problems. I stick to Kingston ram but I have friends that swear by crucial (I heard through the grapevine that Kingston is made in the same factory, no source to verify that though :thumbdown )
If you're unsure of the ram you have in your system I recommend downloading the Sandra Utilities. The free portion should let you know your system specs.

Also, I swear by newegg. In the past I used pricewatch to get the "best deal." After I got burned a couple of times by some questionable online outfitst I decided it was worth the extra couple of bucks to just buy from the same
reliable source everytime.
Good luck!
