Just downloaded the demo

This game is pretty cool. Nice graphics and gameplay. And it's a modern fps, I like it. How's 2142? I really don't like sci-fi or future games... I'm more into modern FPS games. But I might just give it a try.

BTW, do you think I can play on the sR server with the demo?

head out and pick up the game. after the dust has settled I have to say BF2 just has something over BF2142. Maybe its map design or a less difficult weapon tree. whatever it is, BF2 has been calling my name like the siren sound of those wicked beauties in that Homer novel.

You can't play any normal server while using the demo. The game is very fun, and Gulf of Oman isn't too great of a map, depending on your gameplay style. I love to run in there guns blazing and rip up the enemy with my rifle. Mainly close combat infantry. If you love Source, you'll love Karkand. A city map fought in the streets and alleyways. And I'm sure you'll find some map to suit your likes if you don't like Karkand. The game plays very well, few crashes and such now, used to be a lot of CTD (Crash to dekstop) for many people, but I seemed to dodge a lot of those bullets, only getting maybe 1 a week during the bad patches.

The game should be cheap now so if you're looking to buy something somewhat old, you should get this, especially if you enjoy the demo. Lots more for the full version to offer. I used to play this game religiously until several months ago when some patches skewed the gameplay around. But, I went back and played it again and still found it incredibly fun, just like old times. I just need more RAM on my laptop to play it good.

Great game, could have been better, but it's still a good buy. Lots of teamwork when you find a good server (such as SR), and things can get intense and exciting and stay that way for a long time.

LOL I don't know what it is.

It's just the sR server that was giving me FPS lag though. I don't know what it is. Something wrong with my connection to the server. When I click connect to server, there's a 4 second pause that says "connecting to server" instead of instantly displaying "Parsing game info"... and sometimes when I refresh my favorites list... the sR server says ---not responding---

Hmm... and I just cleaned my p.o.s processor.. it had like 3 pounds of dust.. runs faster amazingly. And my steam updated today (this is after the chatbox and voice update) ... I guess it got tired of me bitching.. It honestly runs smoother.

And guys, I'm getting a core 2 duo in a couple of days.. so my bitching is going to come to a stop.. especially after I get my 8800 GTS! Ahahsahahajshahahsahdashdash!!!
