1.41 help plz

need some help i cant seem to get this right. i start with a fresh install of BF2, then download patch 1.41. i install the patch, everything works ok, but when i start a game, it says that i have version 1.2 something on the top right corner, and then i cant join most of the games that are listed, saying that i have the wrong version. some of these servers say ther running 1.41, but there are some servers i can join that also say there running 1.41 help plz? i have fresh install 5 times all in diff. directorys, and downloaded the patch from diffrent places

are you installing special forces too? if so, you need to go in this order:

1. install bf2
2. install special forces
3. install 1.41

special forces reverts the 1.41 back to 1.2 if you dont follow that order

HMM..ILL TRY THAT i originally wasent installing SF, but now since u mentiond that, i will.. thnx, ill let u know how it turns out

i think i figured the problem out, but now i have a new one. install shield wont load up the patch. i said Allow when UAC ask about it, i see it on the taskmagager, but then it dissapers ne ideas?

disable UAC totally...then try to install. vista is dumb
