Shooting for attention

I was wondering what the rules/policy are/is if someone shoots ur FAV or something if they want a ride and you are leaving. Or vice versa. I know people get frustrated when they get left behind, and I know I get frustrated when people leave behind and my character is temp blocked talking for 30 seconds cause I said "I need a ride" or "I need a lift" repeatedly. I think it would also be nice just to clarify if someone comes on to complain about that problem.

If someone shoots my FAV as I'm driving and they want a ride, I'll stop. I actually find it more effective than asking for a ride. A couple shots hitting the car will get your attention while doing little to no damage at all. However, if someone blatantly blows up the vehicle because I'm full or didn't pick him up, that's another story.

I don't think we have a direct policy on this kind of activity, but I know I've taken a couple of pot shots at a team vehicle moving away from me while I begged for a pick-up. It's a familiar dynamic in the game that definitely requires using your manners to determine when you've upset a teammate, or your annoying the whole team with your mic spam. I've learned to ask a couple of times and then give up. I mean, the vehicle is 500 yards away and moving faster, so I'm not getting a pick-up. I'm like Dope, I tend to pick people up when they need a ride, although I've used the "not picking up" drive away as my child-like tantrum when a guy is asking for a ride, and he's the dude that drove away from me. I leave his @ss back at spawn.

I'd say if you have three or four choices:

If you missed the bus, or someone's driving away, ask a couple of times and forget it. It's a familiar behavior and it's not going to change.

If you shoot down the vehicle, well, that's team damage and a team kill, and you have some anger issues that gaming won't solve.

Spamming the mic resolves no issue, and I'm more likely to kick you for annoying the team than wait for a temp block on your chat commands.

If you're constantly missing the ride, particularly at the beginning of a round, you need a better 'net connection or computer, or learn that this happens constantly, so you might have to wait until a flag is captured to get a better spawn spot. Or better yet: squad up and have a moving spawn point.

Titan mode should not be problem. all vehicles are moving spawn points.

Yeah, I was just thinking if they do a certain amount of damage that might take the car to a point where it will get blown up easily. Or that it takes away my use for the car, and I choose to abandon it. Also, isn't there team vehicle damage?

I understand when people are far away already and I ask for a ride. It is rare that people come back, I am usually one of those (of course it all depends on the scenario). However, if me and another guy are rushing to a car and I know he is going to beat me, I ask for a ride. Now normally this works, sometimes it doesn't, either way...they normally wait for me to get up. But those few that just take off once they get in there and they know I wanted a ride in the car cause they saw me running to it. THAT is what gets me
