I have been playing around with it on my local server. I think it is great that I can see more on the sides now. I am a bit confused by what heppens to the red dot on my gun scope when I move from side to side. I am going to do some game play tonight, and post back about it... Thanks!!

Well, the field of view gets moved further back. It kind of stretches out the scope when you're zoomed in. It's very minimal and you get used to it. As long as you aim in the center you'll be fine. There's not much I can do about this. This would cause some development that would guarantee a trigger with punkbuster.

I am using it regularly now. I actually had to lower my resolution in order for things to look alright in the more distant shots. That’s ok though, because my video card is a NVIDIA 7300 LE (LE = Lame edition) , so it barely hangs with 2142, and the lower the resolution, the better. With the mod in place at 16X9, I am doing 1024X768 resolution. I must say that I have not been playing well since I put it in place, so I can now blame your program for my poor performance, as well as any crashes or blips that I have with BF2142! Thanks!

Hah! It doesn't crash the game or cause lags. All it does is read/write one value to memory. It does take a little getting used to. I'm trying to think of a better implementation.

Depends on the resolution you use:

640x480 = 4:3
720x480 = 15:10
720x576 = 5:4
800x600 = 4:3
848x480 = 16:9
960x600 = 16:10
1024x768 = 4:3
1152x864 = 4:3
1280x720 = 16:9
1280x768 = 15:9
1280x800 = 16:10
1280x960 = 4:3
1280x1024 = 5:4
1360x768 = 16:9
1440x900 = 16:10
1680x1050 = 16:10
1920x1080 = 16:9
1920x1200 = 16:10

I just released v1.06 of this program. It adjusts the FOV only when you're zoomed out. This gets rid of the panning problem when you zoom in. The only drawback is that when you zoom in, you are getting the horizontally and vertically cropped view. When you're zoomed out, you'll gain the extra horizontal viewing area, though. This should clear up a lot of problems for people and provide a more usable daily solution.
