I hate to say this but are you going to institute a review policy or something on newsposts and reviews then?

I mean, a 2 - 3 paragraph review of something really does not compare against one of Duke's reviews. And it seems a bit unfair that both would be viewed as being worth 30 points.

Same could be applied for news posts. I mean I understand filtering out spam posts is probably easy and yadda yadda yadda, but quality newsposts and reviews?

We have the ability to manually assign any numeric grade to any submission if we so chooose.

It's a good point Zeiram and one that we should be able to work on. What we'll probably do is assign extra-credit to those 'above and beyond' reviews and news submissions.
