StrafeRight v4.0 Lives

After quite a bit of time hacking away behind the scenes we are proud to release to you, the new StrafeRight website

You may recall a survey that was sent to all members not so long ago where we asked you a ton of questions about what you did and didn't like about the site, what you would change, what you would keep and what you would add given your preferences for an online community experience.

Well, we listened and decided that the best thing to do was to create a site that most closely fit the description you all seemed to like.

You will find some new features as well as some old features on this new iteration of the website.

There will be no tutorial about what is new on the site because we truly feel that it is extremely intuitive and that by simply clicking around a bit you'll learn all about this new version of StrafeRight.

Please report any bugs you may find in this forum thread. You can also speak your mind about what you think of this new site in the comments below this post.

A big huge thanks goes out to all of the amazing and talented people that helped make this possible. Without people like Danwad, Teck, VincentVega and BuddhistSoldier none of this would have come to fruition. Yet another shining example of how strong and giving the community at StrafeRight really is!

I will get more in-depth on how the build came about and what it looked like along the way (as well as talk more about each person's role in the design/build process) a bit later in a larger post.

One more big thanks is due here, and that goes out to you. The members of StrafeRight that make it a point to stop by the site on a daily basis to take part in one of the greatest gatherings of gamers ever known on the web. This website and all it has to offer is yours, what you do with that power is up to you

ya I mean it's ridiculous. this is one of the best looking websites I've ever seen.

Since I'm in IT, and a web/db dev... I've seen it all and tried it all. This is a remarkable implementation

thanks for the props Craig. you go too far though - the real credit belongs to you and teck and dan and anyone else involved in the core work. you guys slaved like mad for this community.

The place really does look great. in fact it's just missing two things:

1)kitchen sink
2)a picture of a hot girl on the wall
