Those numbers aren't entirely fair though... I took page load times from our old server with only 3 users still using the old server, where as on our new server at the time we had 87 users online... Even though our new server had almost 85 more users online using the site, it was still faster by 300-500ms...
I do have benchmarks somewhere of our old server which were taken when the server had more than 80 people online but I just haven't found them yet. (They are on real paper not a computer file... rofl)
Anyways It doesn't sound like much on paper but the difference between this server and our old server is crazy & I haven't even had a chance to optimize things like XCache, Apache, PHP, MySQL, certain parts of vBulletin which i could not before because of hosting limitations...
OMG I am pumped... Anyways, I'm going out for dinner, if there's any problems the staffers have my cell... I will come home if something goes wrong...

Before, I would go to the main forum index, and open all the unread threads with middle click at once. Then I would double click the icon on the left to mark the thread read. This was pretty much instant before. Now I middle-click all the threads, and all the tabs still say "Loading..." and then when I double click on the icons on the left, it takes up to about 20-30 seconds for them to be marked read.
I'm sure there's still work to be done on it. I'm just giving my experience with it so far.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow, but with any luck by Friday Morning we will have pumped some serious speed into this bad boy...
