Google now has a nifty new plugin for those using Google hosted emails such as our @straferight.com addresses and Gmail. Simply click on this link to learn more about how you can chat via video and voice with your StrafeRight homies. All it requires is a camera and microphone.

Kinda funny you mention that... I'm sure I will be using this feature. Its nice to be able to see and speak to people you havent seen in a very long time.

I wonder how cross-platform that is.

One of the biggest problems I find with video/audio chat is that almost all software is platform specific. MSN supports video and audio in Windows only. Their OS X version of MSN lacks the feature. The same goes for many other clients.

Having the ability to just log in to your mail and chat with video and audio from any OS/browser would be complete win. It looks like they don’t support PowerPC Macs, and I couldn’t find a list of supported browsers and operating systems. I’ll try on my Intel Mac in a bit.
