Oh so that's what that was - had a bunch of sR pages open and put me to fix my profile page. lol.
cool
We're adding a new radio button to the user profile which will allow you to control whether to receive the StrafeRight newsletter via email - there's no newsletter yet, we're just getting it set up and testing to make sure it works. If anyone wants to contribute or has any ideas/thoughts for the newsletter just shout out here or send me a pm

I get minus internet points for that mistake!

I would say the newsletter should offer links to the latest new game info, links to Steam games, a section on Forum posts (gaming related), a hardware blurb, a high def game graphic in each, ... maybe a footer with straferight server info always there.
Maybe a short blog by different contributors each week/month/whatever.
So maybe last month's would've been info on a couple console games, couple PC games, a blurb to join the Straferight fantasy football league, a new hardware section on the latest Razer Laptop, a blog from Joe about how bad Vega is at World of Tanks...
Thanks Coffee, that's a good layout/structure and I really like the blog by different contributers, we're thinking to start with a monthly edition, aiming to get the first one out end Sept/beg Oct and see how it goes from there...so any and all thoughts/ideas/ contribution offers welcome.

I think this is an excellent tool to help the site grow.
All this has happened before and will all happen again.

I'd like to see security incidents and/or fixes that have been applied recently. We get security incident reports every week from the network warfare wing that tell us about events in the civilian sector. They're things you've probably never heard of but may have been affected by it.

did you really just ask if Bo has his cwp?
he shot his name into the application form from 1000 yards... while on a Segway... One handed with his USP in .45ACP... While doing pushups AND eating his sandwich...
This actually sounds like a really good idea. Coffee's suggestions sound great. I think the first one should feature info on BF3.
It's too bad that we don't have someone here that has press access to get inside information on the latest games. The Associate Editor from "Massive Online Gamer" is in my LOTRO Kinship (Guild) and he is always able to give us the latest behind the scenes look at upcoming games and updates in the MMO world.
