The node: power outlet of tomorrow

Node, the power outlet of tomorrow | Boing Boing Gadgets

Really interesting concept. you could plug multiple things into a single outlet and not need any multi-outlet adapters or surge suppressors [provided you get your dwelling surge protected with a residential surge unit]. Of course they'd need to come up with a 3 prong design no.

Interesting idea but I do not like it. I can see this getting very cluttered, they would need to have some way to put in the 3 prong plugs and no ground pin is not cool. I used to be an electrician and a plug with no ground is not a good idea. There is a lot of potential for bad things to happen.

Also this could look rather messy for them neat freaks out there.

    Thats just my opinion

The trick is that not all of them are wired.

Although the node does seem like a cool concept.
