problem with patching

I just got windows vista ultimate x32 bit

I have never ran COH with vista before and i am having a hell of a time trying to patch it.

I have tried reinstalling, registry cleaners, in game and out of game patches.

Nothing is working.

It says I have a 10260 error, so does that mean I should reinstall windows or try another DVD from a friend and try to install?

Please help!!!

sorry can't help much but here is the error defination.

Happens when: You install one of the COH 1.x megapatches and you didn't install from the original COH DVD (possibly you installed from Steam, copied your installation manually to another computer, or you have a pirated COH).
Simplest workaround: Reinstall COH, patch again.
