help creating a CS:S server?

Hey Guys

Denny noticed I have some hardware (ever notice my sig?) that's not doing much of anything right now. I plan on hosting a pseudo AI/natural language query parsing AIM bot on it at some point, and distributing the load, etc, etc. but for right now I think I want to try hosting a CS:S server on one of them (2x1.4).

Can someone help me out and walk me through what I need for this? Running Fedora Core 5, latest kernel, but I can switch it to anything.

DL it.

./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir .

DL server stuff.

Code:

./srcds_run -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 10 -autoupdate

Run the server.

Unless you've got a T-1 or only want a LAN server you'll have to set stupidly low rates or it'll be laggy as hell.

Residential ADSL (not even sync). By my own math, I figure a max of 8 internet players, so I'd have to pad it with bots. lame, yes... but I want to give it a shot. thanks!
