STEAM UserID Ticket crap

hey guys. i havent been able to play because of a failure to verify STEAM UserID ticket . I went to the steam troubleshooting site to try and fix the problem. They gave me 3 files to delete but i am not smart enough to get to the place where you delete these files.

ANY helpful insight would be greatly appreciated. THANKS ---emperor nero

have you tried simply rebooting your PC? that would close down any temp memory info on the source engine and may let you back in. usually that worked for me when I had the issue

when i got this error, i tried deleting the files they told me to delete. the game would work, but a couple of days later the error would come back. try restarting steam/your computer.

The same stupid thing happened to me too just the other day. I figured it out though! All you have to do is go in your steam folder and you will see this little file called ClientRegistry.blob just delete it and everything will be normal..for now. I havent had any problems since I deleted it.

lol yea aphro ftw. i had the same problem, but if deleting client.blob, doesnt work then u need to delete two dll files steam.dll and steamui.dll, in the same folder as ClientBlob.blob, then a lil download after next steam restart and you should be set

yea all i had to do was delete that clientregistry file. now i can suck again . --emperor_nero
