| need some help from some smart computer people...
ok so i have been having some problems with my computer locking up during css seemingly randomly (sometimes i can get away with playing for a few hours and nothing will happen, others it wont even load) and im not exactly a computer savvy guy. The game will freeze and a few error messages will pop up. The most common one i cant solve regards an internal driver error in the IDDIRECT3D or the cmeshvertexbuffer not locking. Or something around that. Dell has basically told me its not their problem even though it has cause me to reinstall media center like 5 times, and valve told me to run the game windowed (which i have been) and to readjust my BIOS settings. I have completely updated all my drivers, and it is a brand new one month old dell xps with a geforce 7300 video cad, 2g of ram, and 2.8 mhz for speed. I have read that maybe it is my audigy soundblaster sound card, but i dont want to screw anything up with my dell warranty. Pin said he kind of had the same problems and downloaded something called an omega driver, but i dont know what that is. Anybody have any suggestions? thanks.
