Sad little server list

HELP! For some reason when I'm in CSS and I try to get a list of servers, I only get about 100 total servers. Since about half of these are just bots and another 30 or so in running some warcraft or other nonsense mod it leaves me with about 10 servers to choose from. Then among these there are only 1-4 players. My buddy's server lists consist of more than 2000 servers and that's with a bunch of filters on. I've tried turning off all firewalls and I even tried shutting down my virus software once all to no avail. I have run numerous bandwith tests which result in about 4Mb down and almost 1Mb up. I have WOW cable for my ISP and they have been out numerous times and found nothing. If anyone has any suggestion I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Oh by the way it happens in Call of Duty also and all the other steam games.

Yes, because strafeRight supports all the games he plays via Steam...

Not really sure what the problem might be, SBCTech. Try asking over on the SteamPowered.com forums if nobody has any ideas here.

3 steps:
1.re-install
2.reboot and start (if it still doesn't work go to step three)
3. Do what I do smack the **** out of it until it works

Thanks guys. My buddies tell me the same thing, "Why do you need to fix the problem if SR Assault is the only server you play?"
I'll try steam to see if anyone else has the problem.

I would check to make sure that you don't have any filters set that you aren't aware of. I have that problem occasionally but most of the time I just refresh the list a few times and problem solved. But yeah if none of that is the case just beat it like a red headed step child a few times.

I had the same issue it was my router not properly port forwarding so I swapped it out (netgear) for a Cisco I had lying around!
