No sound - zooming with snipers.

I don't hear any sound when zooming in with an awp or scout. You know, that clicking noise. My sound card is realtec ac97. I haven't replaced it or changed anything with it.

No hunter, my hacks arent getting in the way of it like you said last night. But now that the games over...

The sound doesn't always play. It happens to everyone don't worry about it there is no way you can fix it. There was already a thread about this from a while back if I recall correctly.

It's important if you're on the opposing team. You can hear the enemy scoping in so you can just run away or prepare to take them out.

It happens to me too. I don't know what it is. But what I'm guessing is that the wav sound doesn't play when there are too many background sounds going off. (gun shots, mic spamming)

it's a source bug, happens to everyone =/

i spent a lot of time trying to fix this before, complete reinstalls and reformats, no luck, it's just a source bug

Dude.. you need a new sound card... I had a comp with the AC97 onboard and I hated it. You'd know the difference if you spent 20 bucks on a SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit. They're cheap and they're not too bad. I'm gonna upgrade to the new Soundblaster card they came out with. It's expensive but so sweet...

Just Get a Custom Zoom Sound to replace the old file u wont have that problem again.
