constant disconnecting from servers wtf?

Okay so whenver I play on sR (or any other server), I keep getting this "disonnect cant establish conection to VAC server something something" message.

It seems like every time I hit a lag spike (or a bigger one than Im used to), my friends list Fcks up, and i get disconnected form whatever server im playing on.

I think a few months ago somebody mentioned changing the priority of steam.exe in task manager, but im not sure if i should put it lower or higher, or maybe someone has a better suggestion for me?

No, this is actually on my wired connection.

So much for the easy answer I suspect they wanted you to go higher priority but if your system isn't running near max load I doubt it will help, But it cant hurt to try

I always put steam.exe on lowest. Though, I dont have that VAC server problem often.

I tried higher priority, didnt really do anything.

Switched to wifi, and the problem actually goes away (leading me to suspect its a bandwidth issue, because my wired connection can sent more than 150kbit, and thats before packet loss).... but i still get wierd ass lag for no reason even tho on wifi my choke stays super low.

Im at a loss.

Try low. Knowing steam, anything can happen. Also, not sure, but would the connection speed settings in steam change any of it...?

because its so insanely low and dropping so many packets maybe it cant handle sending info to game server and this "VAC server" at the same time?

Beat me, all i know is, this connection is the worst of the worst.
