k so whats this "shield" all about? am i just gonna get destroyed by the 1.6 players since im so used to source?

Short answer: Yes.

I was playing 1.6 a couple days ago, and it's very hard to revert back to 1.6 after getting used to source. It really is quite a different game.

The shield is awesome, it's just a big shield like the cops use during riots and stuff. You can only use a one handed weapon when carrying it though.

chief, use some common sense. you can not get a game like cs 1.6 for free...

well i am on wireless, and in source and dod:s i will often freeze for like 5-10 seconds a few times a game. However, if it happens in 1.6..i just get booted. I must have to be on a direct connection to prevent that..bummer.

i personally found cs 1.6 a lot harder than source... i used to suxxor in 1.6 but then i played source and i was like wow i can actually get a KDR above 1!!!! i actually loved cs for xbox...(im already putting on my firesuit in preperation for the flaming) i had a lot of fun playin that on xbox live
