I was out of the loop for awhile because of the storm around here so maybe I missed it... What's the deal with the "beta" CS:S I see in my game list? "not installed"... Anything to do with the new money system, or some major update they're testing? And... is it an open beta?

The graphics looked slightly different, too. Hard to pinpoint- as if you made subtle changes to your graphics settings.

| | | That's because it plays with default graphic settings, So if your normal CS installation has different graphics from the default, it'll look different from the Beta.

| | | Your fps are probably betta in the beta because the default settings are lower than what you normaly play with. When I was playing I noticed a difference in the bullets. On a couple of occasions I could actually see every bullet's path, as if they were firing tracer rounds. That would be a pretty crappy addition to the game. |
