I was playing on *gasp* another CSS server last night (hey office was empty) that was running a server side mod that allowed you to pass through people on your own team a la Battlefield or Call of Duty. It was great. No getting blocked to death, no noob ruining a rush for the entire team because he decides to stop in a doorway, no getting bumped and having your grenade go off course.
Just thought I would mention it.

If we put this mod in, I would have to find a new way to rationalize 33.3333% of my deaths!! Oh, and it would stop the fun uber-block of the first person to spot a nade wall! In all seriousness, it sounds like a cool idea, I might check it out.
Hearing that another server offers some weird config or feature that SR doesn't (like Robosex's roboninja or 0-gravity or whatever) is kind of like hearing that your girlfriend's best friend is a freak in bed...you're more than a little intrigued, but you feel a little guilty trying it for yourself... |

: 78 th | | | it requires event scripts...i really don't want to bloatware our servers up with stuff like that. these plugins require another program to be running on the server, its not just the plugin itself.
it also requires cheats to be on...can't do that, it takes away VAC and what little security there is in source.
its a neat idea, and please keep stuff like this coming in...you never know what we might find. |
