steam problems

I dunno whats going on. I run steam, open fines, my friends list pops up, then we i try to get to my server list nothing happens.

I right-click on the bottom steam icon and press servers but they don't come up

so you reinstalled steam as in your previous thread and it's still not working?

do you get a GUI box that has the server list in it, or are you saying that nothing pops up when you right-click on servers?

You might have to re-associate Steam with your firewall. Give it access to the internet. When you run it, alt tab, and see if there's any pop ups or icons indicating access properties in your system icon tray.

edit: are you saying you can't see your favorites? or history? or just servers in general? You won't see Favorites because it's a fresh install, nor history. And if you haven't run any games yet, it might not know what servers to look for. Just a wild guess.

Is steam really that bad? I seem to see alot of I had to re-install steam threads or steam is broken lately...

I usually have no problem, if I do I just re-start the computer and it's fine. When I bought that Audio-something game it wouldn't work until I un-installed the demo and re-installed the whole game. After that it worked fine. Anyway good luck though, I'd just re-install or restart if I was you but that might not work for your problem.
