| sup man,
well first off, i don't know much about computers, just to let you know.
When i reformatted my computer, i got all of my drivers installed from the HP site searching the name of my computer (HP D4100Y) about 6 months ago..
Is there a way i can check if i have the most updated drivers? Or would you like me to go back and redownload all of them again? |

| | | Might not hurt to check for clogged video and cpu coolers and that the fans are working. |

| Well earlier today, i opened it up and dusted everything off (It was pretty bad) for about 45 minutes or so. Everything is perfectly clean now and the fan is running fine.
However, i did not unplug or touch anything, since i didn't wanna do anything i would regret. |

| | | When did you notice that it started to freeze (time frame). Did you do anything before such as download something or alter your game files? I always make sure things are plugged in properly when I open up the case for cleaning whenever I do it since it isn't that often.
And welcome. |

Taking it out is easy, on the back of the socket on the motherboard there is usually some kind of tab that you will either have to pull away from the socket or bush back away from the socket. If its PCI-e you will have to pull it away from the socket, if its AGP you will have to push it back(as far as i know), then pull the card out.
Clean it.
Putting the GPU back in is fairly simple, just make sure you are putting the GPU in the right socket(there should only be one of the socket and should be fairly easy to find, whether it be AGP or PCI-e), align the slots in the card with the slots in the socket and put it in, it'll take alittle force, but not too much.
Hope that makes since.
If that dosent solve the problem, then if you have another GPU laying around, toss that in.
But it sounds more like something went wrong with the install, i had a similar problem, and i just reinstalled steam completely, but i think that was a wee-bit extreme. Id try reinstalling the game.

| You shouldn't need to unplug anything as long as you got the fins clean around the cpu.
Have you tried it again yet ? |
