Well Fraps must be giving me wrong readings then. Sure, during the cutscenes I'd get 15 fps. But in-game, in those screenshots I posted in my other thread.. I was getting 30 fps, 40 fps on some screens (even though there was barely anything to look at). Sure it sometimes dropped to 21, but it never stayed there. I was looking at the entire island with people on it, and my fps was 30,31,34 each time I got to the same area. I even moved my mouse around to see if it would drop. The only time my fps would drop dramatically is when using the binoculars.. it would drop to like 18 or lower. Weird.

I wish fraps could take a screenshot of the FPS on the screen

This is with everything on high, and I'm not playing at stock btw. Core is 680 and Mem clock is 924. C2D @ 2.7Ghz

I also have everything in Nvidia CP set to max.. high quality.. AA, AF.. all that stuff.

And Triv, I actually purchased Fraps.. LOL so I can't just send you mine

If you want to record, I think if you record less than 30 seconds a clip, the fraps splash wont show up.. I'm not sure though.

My PC completely locks up everytime I try to start the game. I tried the updated and my current nvidia release drivers. Frustrating as crap because the Multiplayer demo ran fine.

Those are total lies.

PC Perspective - Crysis Single Player Demo Performance Preview

That article confirms everything I've stated about the performance.

Yeah, you might be able to look straight up and get 40-something, but that's not playing the game. Actually playing the game, your FPS is going to suck. If you play on high, without any AA or specific settings in the NVIDIA control panel, in 1680x1050, you are going to average mid to high 20s on an overclocked 8800 GTS 640mb. With a 8800GTX, you're going to average high 20s/low 30s.

i have no idea what my fps measures out to be - i know it's pretty smooth, so I don't really care.

You might be right then. I guess staring into the woods and looking at the mountains don't really count as a measurement. Swimming under water gave me mid 40's too LOL

But yeah, I guess if you sum it all out I average high 20's while in intense combat. It never dropped below 21 though while in-game. The damn cut scenes is where I was getting like 18

I clicked the optimized settings for computer thing in graphics options, and it set everything to high. I tried medium for all, and the fucking textures wouldn't load. Everything was see through I guess I'm forced to play on high
