What machine will run Crysis flawlessly?

In real life if they ran for more than a few minutes they would fry, so I guess in theory they would burn up too.

Anyway, I ran fraps while playing and I was averaging between 25 and 40 frames per second, that is at 1920 x 1080 everything on high and 8x AA. Even with those low frames it seems smooth except when I start blowing a alot of shit up at once

According to someone I know from EA. Crysis is designed so that when it hits the shelves, no current hardware will exist that can play the game on the highest settings with the best frames. They made it like that on purpose. They made it so that you need a $5,000 machine to play it. This way it will help lower the cost of hardware because hardcore gamers will be buying the higher end stuff, plus it will raise the bar for higher quality standards in games. Plus it will still look great when the hardware does come out that will play it.

Oh, and this game doesn't support SLI.

the demo doesn't. Nvidia is supposedly dropping a patch on us that will make the release game work with SLI.

Well ive tried the demo on the rig I finished last week (E6850, 88oo GTX, 2GB Corsair Dominator, Abit IN9 680i) and well I wasnt overly impressed. Although I didnt spend much time messing with it, it just set the settings to very high automatically so could be why it wasnt perfect, not bad just not perfect.

I bought a Dell XPS 720 H2C (Qx6700, 2GB Corsair - for now, 88oo GTX (x2 - SLI)) from their Irish Ebay Outlet for €1610 last thursday so ill see how that handles it when it arrives. Oh and I havent even tried it on the laptop yet.

if you played at my res (1680x1050) you'd probably get about 10 more FPS
