That's outstanding. Most people have trouble with it at first since no games since Midtown Madness used it (as far as I know). It beats a joypad any day for precision and ease of use. Like a 3/4 inch stick would be acceptable in any car....

Much appreciated. It just went on sale at 50% off today too on Desura. Get you some!

Still trying to get it up on this site, but the admin for the distributor seems to be MIA at the moment, and I'm not a patient man in this regard. <---character flaw

Got 'em all, and the first Midnight Club too which looks an awful lot like a sequel (the traffic cars are identical). I'm running out of 4:3 aspect monitors though and it doesn't support wide screen (neither does NFSU ). When I got the first one I thought that the mouse steering was brilliant. Played it lately and I realized that even though the steering controls were great, the vehicle physics were like driving an ice cube. You always remember it as better than it was when some part of it stands out.

Anyway, we gave our trucks super-grippy tires so there's none of that ice cube stuff, unless you're actually on ice or in an oil puddle. Like here:

Thanks to everyone for their kind remarks, but thank YOU MisterX for your purchase. That's the kind of support we'll look to get more of now that the price has been discounted. Finding a price point can be tough.... Would love to hear your thoughts on it at Desura and here too in a few days, once you've played it for a while. If you have any problems or questions bring them to me directly please. Thanks.

Now this is a true game lover. We're still in awe at this endorsement by a Desura member:
"I am in love with this game. Never had this much fun losing races, lol. Winning a race is tough. It keeps me trying and playing due to the challenge. I won one race and about jumped out of my chair to celebrate. I dont remember that ever happening with any other game....ever. Thank you for this treasure of a game. I hope your company has tons of success. I wonder what you guys are planning next!"
His laptop just crashed (he was playing on a laptop? Wow). He's got a screaming new desktop rig now, and he sent me this message after that:
"I cant wait to play MMEO-R with settings maxed, gives me chills"
That's real game love folks. It almost brings a tear to my eyes.....

My biggest disappointment with NFSU was that it didn't support the mouse. It's not that hard to do. Once I got my first wheel it was better, but still, keyboard steering? Really? Sure, we put it in but it's even more wonky than a joypad (and we support that too - maybe someone has better joypad skills than I do). To each his own I guess. We didn't want to exclude anyone. Nice to run into someone who's shared my experiences though....

P.S. This game works great with a Thrustmaster Ferrari GT 3-in-1 wheel too. It's not top of the line, but it's inexpensive and works with your consoles too. We've put in a whizzy-cool wheel mapper that takes care of all the adjustments automagically.
