Overhead View of Maps

Using the Google Maps API and borrowing some HTML from sponge, I put up a website with overhead shots of the maps in the retail.

All of the maps, except Slipgate, are up. They total 60,071 files and 1.33 gb of data.

Slipgate won't work at the moment since it consists of two different maps and they overlap each other when taking screen captures.

I have a bunch of ideas planned for this and I'll start working on them some time soon.

nice. try adding some toggle overlays for things like spawns, vehicles, objectives, etc.

Yep. I've got all those planned. I need to finish uploading all the images first; Half-way there.

Nice work Dope .... I can't wait until Tuesday its going to rock soo gd hard. I was just looking through the Overviews and I bet these maps are going to look sick with that modded config dope

I took some screenshots initially, but I ended up taking too many screenshots showing off the maps. I just decided it would be better if you all just got the game and saw them first-hand. :P

You can get the game now, btw. Just go to those local stores or some non-name brand store in a mall. A _lot_ of small stores have been selling them early.

The only stores around here are Gamestop and EB Games and those are pretty name-brand.

I've been working on the maps a lot. It's nowhere near complete but there's a lot of neat things in the works already.

I have most objectives for Strogg and GDF on Area 22 and Valley. Also, on Valley, if you choose spectator, I've started mapping the tunnel.

It's turning out pretty nice and there's still more to do to it.

Oh, yeah, it doesn't work in IE. It works in Firefox, Safari and Opera. If anyone wants to come to the rescue for IE, feel free to. I'm not going to put much time into fixing it for IE at the moment.

Yeah, I gave the link to a channel on IRC and they all complained about IE not working. I fixed it so it works with IE now.
